Governor Josh Shapiro Honors Exceptional Commonwealth Employees for Remarkable Achievements and Dedication to Public Service

Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority Team — Department of Community and Economic Development For securing and working to distribute $1.16 billion in federal funding to expand broadband access statewide. The team is administering multiple competitive grant programs to build and deploy high-speed internet to unserved and underserved communities; provide free public Internet access in libraries, health centers, and other facilities; and provide laptops for lending programs to residents.

Beaver County, Pennsylvania – Beaver County announced today that its Connect Beaver County Broadband Program has won the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) 2025 Public-Private Partnership Award. The award is part of NATOA’s Community Broadband and Digital Equity Awards, which recognize innovative projects in government, business and local communities nationwide.
