PA Prevailing Wage Rates

The Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, through the Bureau of Labor Law Compliance, determines prevailing wage coverage and, upon request, issues rates for covered projects. The Prevailing Wage Regulations allow the Secretary of Labor and Industry to consider collective bargaining agreements and other data types to determine wage rates.

While the PA Broadband Development Authority (PBDA) is not responsible nor has influence over how wage rates are determined, it is important to ensure that accurate and robust resources are available for entities looking to work with the PBDA through various grant programs. The intent of this webpage is to ensure that visitors looking for answers to PA Prevailing Wage regulations can easily access the many resources currently on the Department of Labor and Industry’s website.

  • Prevailing Wage Main Page: Find details about the Prevailing Wage Act, Regulations, application & rate search, and wage rate submittal form.
  • Prevailing Wage Quick Links: Here, you can find resources for printable posters, debarments, apprenticeships and training, and Building Laborer Notes.
  • Prevailing Wage FAQs: Find answers to most of your questions about PA Prevailing Wage Law, including when it applies and how, authorized deductions, what intentional violations, and much more.

For additional questions that cannot be answered from these resources, please contact the Bureau at 1.800.932.0665 or email at ra-li-slmr-llc@pa.gov if you have any questions about a particular project.
