Broadband 101: Pennsylvania Broadband Programs

In collaboration with the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), the PBDA held an educational webinar, Broadband 101: Pennsylvania Broadband Programs.

This webinar provides an overview of current federal programs and the commonwealth’s approach to bridging the digital divide. Guidance around implementation and coordination  of the programs was also discussed. Reference the Broadband 101 PowerPoint presentation for additional information.

Pennsylvania’s Labor Law Compliance

In collaboration with the Bureau of Labor Law Compliance, the PBDA provided an introductory overview of Pennsylvania laws relating to minimum wage, wage payment and collection, and prevailing wage requirements. Oversight and regulation of but not limited to equal pay, child labor, medical pay, seasonal farm labor, and misclassification of construction employees as independent contractors. Watch to learn more about the Labor Law requirements in Pennsylvania or reference the Labor Law Compliance PowerPoint presentation.

Prevailing Wage Webinar 2: Navigating the Process for Federal Broadband Projects

The Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority in partnership with PA Department of Labor & Industry, provided a second webinar providing an overview of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage requirements for current and future federal broadband projects. This webinar focuses on how to apply, implement, and utilize the prevailing wage rates. Reference the Prevailing Wage PowerPoint presentation for additional information.
